Hi

while designing circuit with this chip, should I use 100/50 ohm balun or 50/50 ohm?

data in freescale documents is confusing:

I attached 2 drawings from FS documents

Hello Ben,

For the MC13234, the recommended balun is the 50/50, same situation for all the matching values, according the  MC1323x_doc_5050.jpg.

Thank you. So what is the meaning of 50/100 in the DHRM manual?

I built a new product prototype according to your instructions, there is no transmission at all...

The 50/100 and the other recommended values were from a previous RF matching  that works, but the latest 50/50 has better performance.

If your design is not transmitting at all, my recommendations from board/HW side, as marked on DHRM secction RF Performance, review the connections as figure 3-4, or the small form factor board 1323x-IPB Reference Design has the minimum requirements for a board build, including schematic and BOM.
