NXP does not recommend our Automotive customers to select product types diffused in wafer fab ICN4 for potential new design-in.
Information Notification
As further specific follow-up to the closure of the ICN4 waferfab (Nijmegen), RF Small Signal would like to kindly recommend our customers by means of this CIN, not to select any types diffused in waferfab ICN4, for potential new design-in.
NXP informed our Automotive customers about the closure of the NXP ICN4(4 inch) diffusion wafer fab in Nijmegen the Netherlands by end of 2013.
This means:
That as consequence of the ICN4 Wafer manufacturing closure, assembly and delivery of the affected products is only possible out of the provisioned Long Term Storage wafer stock. Effective and timely submission of a Last Time Buy stock quantity demand is mandatory to enable NXP Semiconductors appropriate reservation of the above mentioned products and secure future supply.
NXP will plan for an effective and timely submission of any possible product discontinuation in line with NXP procedures.

Why do we issue this Information Notification
To avoid that customers select any in waferfab ICN4 diffused types for potential design-in."
