RF Modulator with MC44CC374 or MC44CM3734

Hi,

I am trying to build a A/V RF modulator for home security system,  connecting to TV set.

In the datasheet of MC44CC374, I can not see the  modulation output. but I found the output is DSB, (Double Side Band),  the band width exceed the CCIR  standard of 6M or 8M bandwidth.

My questions are:

1. Can MC44CC374 or MC44CM3734 be programmed to SSB ( Single Side Band) output?

2. What I can do to fit the output within 6M or 8M bandwidth of TV?

Hello brentdong,

1. The MC44CC37x family of modulators is not configurable to SSB mode.

2. There is no simple solution for producing 6- or 8-MHz channel bandwidth in modulator - filtering to standard channel bandwidth is performed rather in TV receiver (IF SAW filter).
