Question about Fault collection and control unit(FCCU) for Automotive Devices

Hi, All.

I'll design to ADAS like a below image schematics.

I research parts : CAN CPU & PMIC for CPU ; like below condition.

- PMIC for CPU

1. Automotive Spec.

2. Monitoring total powers & Using functional safety blocs ASIL(Automotive Safety Integrity Level) type PMIC.

3. Watch-dog

4. FCCU(Fault collection and control unit)

- CAN CPU

1. CAN Controller

2. Watch-dog

Hi Inho,

As for the PMIC, I would recommend our FS65xx SBC family that meets all your specified requirements (AEC-Q100
Grade 0 automotive qualification, configurable fail-safe/fail silent safety behavior and features, windowed watchdog, safety inputs for FCCU monitoring).

Regarding the CAN MCU, I suggest either the MagniV S12 ZVC (16-bit) or S32K (32-bit) family of AEC-Q100 qualified MCUs.

Hi Tomas,

I have a additional question.

If it is not bulit-in FCCU fuctions of CPU(ADAS CPU), is it possible use FCCU?

Because, ADAS CPU & PMIC for ADAS CPU is not built-in FCCU fuctions.

I have a question.

Is the parts you suggested working only AUTOSAR OS? Or is possible linux like low cost OS?

I prefer low cost OS like linux.
