Hi all.

I got trouble in ethernet.

I've been used MPC8313E-RDB rev A4 evb board w/ bundled BSP(kernel : 2.6.20), and it works.
But new bsp released at 2008.6 have problem in booting NFS.

uboot works fine.
But after kernel booting, it fails in connecting nfs server.

So I tried ramdisk boot after burning flash.
It prompts.
But when I ping some ip(i.e., access ethernet), system froze.

I found two different things between rev A4 and rev B boards.
1. CPU revision : 1.0 vs 2.0
2. GTX_CLK125 for marvell phy : 8313 provide vs standalone crystal
    (But I found 125MHz by probing R181)

Can I use rev B bsp at rev A4 rdb board?
The reason I want to use 23 kernel is performance issue in my application.

Thank you.

Hi, I have met the same problem, I think it is due to the difference between 1.0 and 2.0
Please refer to the AN3545, there are a lot of faults of eTsec in 1.0 but been fixed in 2.0.
So the BSP for revB(2.0) do not provide the patch needed by revA(1.0). Above is just my  guess,
need your validatation. Thanks!

Dear Dawin.

Thank you for your answer.
I found that AN as you told, and it shows so many differences between revised cpus.

Actually I got somewhat embarassed, you know.
Because I've been thought 8313 was guaranteed one in both technically and commercially.

Moreover, I'm afraid of using it as our design core.
Because rev B(2.1) is still not in production state, and 1.0 have bunch of bugs.

If fsl guy monitors, please note if my understanding is right or not.

Thank you.
