PTP Egress Timestamping unit (seconds/nano seconds etc.) ?

From UM11040, Section 6.1.1.5 I am able to understand that we can read Egress timestamping from specific registers.
My query is that the timestamp value read from this register, what would be unit of it? Will it be in seconds/milli/micro/nano seconds etc. Also, till what decimal point precision the value would be stored. For example, if value is stored in seconds, will the precision be "6 seconds" or "6.666 seconds".

The captured timestamp value is in periods of the internal PTP counter. See UM11040, Table 87 through Table 89 for details.
