Hi,
DP source (BIOS OS) uses correct EDID to output video in BIOS mode (BIOS setup screen), so that LCD panel has correct display on it.
When system enters into Ubuntu OS mode, then DP source (Ubuntu display driver) outputs incorrect video timing (looks like video pixel clock is too fast) to cause overlapped display on the LCD panel.
You need to find out what is the EDID used to output video (through PTN3460I) to the LCD panel in Ubuntu OS mode? It looks like that Ubuntu OS display driver may use internal built-in default EDID to output video to the LCD panel instead to read EDID from PTN3460I (like BIOS mode does).
