PN7412 / PN7462 custom development boards

Hi,

We recently built about 5 PN7412 custom development boards, using documents UM10858, UM10883, and the datasheet of PN7462. Additionally, we carefully inspected the schematics provided for NXP's PN7462-USB-CCID-Reader available here. we also built a couple of these units (PN7462-USB-CCID-Reader).

So, the problem: None of these devices respond nor are seen by any OS (we have tried Linux and Windows) while connected via USB, and no OS can see any of these devices connected.

Both models (PN7462 and 7412) were bought as chip units, not in development board format.

  1. do we need to provision a bootloader?
  2. do we need to load firmware to be able to see them through USB?
  3. does the 7412 come with USB MSD mode by default?

Our boards do have access to all pins so if you could point me to where and how to load/reset/debug the problem using the IC pins would be absolutely awesome,

Please help, we are pretty lost on how to move forward...

Thanks in advance,

Raul
