I am using a PCF85363A with a back-up battery. If the chip is powered up with the back-up battery first, the INTA output puts out 32.768kHz when VDD is applied. If it is powered with VDD first, the INTA output is at 1 sec. Is that correct operation?

Hi Michael,

Sorry for our late response.  

At VDD power up, all PCF85363A registers should be reset in Default Mode. As stated on page 55 of the data sheet, the default frequency on INTA/ pin should be 32.768 kHz.
