I'm creating hifi audio player and now I want to use I2S for working with my own audio codec. How can I do it if on this board there is no available I2S because of wolfson codec use it.

Hello,

 

This could be possible by using the two codecs in the same SAI,

Please take a look to this:

Set two sound cards to the same SAI (Linux 4.9 iMX6UL)

 

Also, please take into account that some hardware changes may be needed,

but it could cause damage on your board and/or in the codec.

 

I Haven't tried it, but you could use the Arduino Headers for this purpose. Furthermore, if the pads are not being used for any other functionality,

please take a look to the i.MX 6UL RM and the evaluation board schematic

However we cannot guarantee that this will work, and any damage that it may cause to your board/codec will be at your own risk. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause to you.
