Hi All, please can someone assist?

Can anyone confirm that you are able to detect a high (switch to battery) on the SGx pins of the MC33975?

Based on the SPI registers, I am assuming that if you clear bits 5 and bit 6 in the Analog Select register, you should be able to read the analog value of the SGx pin at AMUX but obviously not have an interrupt.

Does one also need to set the Tristate Register for the relevant input for this to work?

Many Thanks

Hi Warren,

Using the Analog Select register for that should be possible, but keep in mind that:

There should be no need to set the Tristate register, but I cannot test it our right now, so I would recommend to check it on your board.

Best regards,

Tomas

Thanks very much for responding Tomas.

I unfortunately do not have a reference board or any of the IC's to check. I am in process with an urgent design and would ideally like to know if it is possible to use an SGx pin to detect a switch to battery.

Is there any chance you would be able to confirm this, or if not any chance I would be able to contact a FAE who would know.

Kind Regards

Warren
