Brand new LS1046ARDB board has been set up using the manual guide provided.

Followed the steps provided in the CMSIS-DAP firmware update for LS boards.pdf to update the firmware.

Board is booting up and working fine only when the PC USB cable into the CSAM USB connector on the board plugged in.

If I remove the PC USB cable into the CSAM USB connector on the board and try to restart the board

Sorry, it seems I received your reply is delayed.

Have you disconnect J26.

Please disconnect J26 and then do the MBED update again.

From the LS1046A Reference Design Board Getting Started Guide, page 14, Table 7. LS1046ARDB LEDs, you would find D1 and D2 only related to the USB power supply. Not related to the board booting.

If you use UART1, please change the SW4[4] to 0, more details please refer to LS1046A Reference Design Board Getting Started Guide, page 13.

If the  SW4[4] is set to 1,  only the CMSIS-DAP, USB-to-Serial could be used as logs output.

1: Micro-USB port is selected as UART1 port

(default setting)

If you change the SW4[4] is set to 1 when use UART1, there is still no logs output, please kindly provide:

Board snapshoot of the LS1046ARDB.

As the limited support resources, to increase support priority, it is recommended to use your company e-mail to submit queries.

Thanks

If the USB cable is the cable of the step 6 in the LS1046A Reference Design Board Getting Started Guide, page 17.

How do confirm if the board bring up or not?

Which UART you are using to output the logs?

How do you set SW4[4]?

Normally when the board in working position both the LEDs D1 and D2 are ON. But in my case these are not ON.
I used btom UART1 with the help USB2ethernet converter.
SW4[4] is set to 1.

1. Connected the board and PC using the Console connection from micro-USB port
2. SW4[4] is set to 1
3. by pressing the RESET BUTTON plugged in the USB at PC
4. BOOTLOADER (D:) is opened
5. copy pasted the k22fx512_if_mbed.bin to BOOTLOADER (D:)
6. LED D8 is blinking very fast
7. Removed the USB and plugged in again. can see MBED (D:) drive.
8. Restarted the board, Now I can see the boot information in the Tera terminal and login in options are available. At the same time LEDS D1 and D2 are green.
9. Now removed the cable and switched off the board.
9. Now again switched on the board. Again, asking for the STEP1 to 8 again to boot up.

So that means boot loader is not saved correctly in the board, hence asking the steps 1 to 7 again and again.

Could you please suggest how to proceed?

Brand new LS1046ARDB board has been set up using the manual CMSIS-DAP firmware update for LS boards.pdf guide provided.

Followed the steps provided in the CMSIS-DAP firmware update for LS boards.pdf to update the firmware.

Board is booting up and working fine only when the PC USB cable into the CSAM USB connector on the board plugged in.

If I remove the PC USB cable into the CSAM USB connector on the board and try to restart the board it is not getting UP.

If we follow the steps mentioned in the CMSIS-DAP firmware update for LS boards.pdf again then only it is booting up. Please suggest how to make the bootable permanently.
