KIT33816FRDME + FRDM-KL25Z: unable to drive extra Pins via SPIGen single and batch Commands

Hi eveveryone,

I am working on this setup: PC Win10 + FRDM-KL25Z + KIT33816FRDME + SPIGen ver. 7.2.7 + power supply @ 14V/4A + 1 injector connected and no fuel pump.

I tried to do some test on injector driving using two example projects: AN_4954_Diag_Rev4_0 and FRDMPKPT2001EVM_Basic.

I followed the KTSPIGEN7UG.pdf user guide, but the result is the same in both cases: when i send DRIVEN or a STARTx signal via single or batch commands nothing happens. On the oscilloscope I see that these signals remain at 0V. RESETB goes high as soon I power up the KL25Z+KIT33816.

When I send a 'START1 high' command, FLAG0 led light up, but the driver doesn't work (DRVEN = low, START1 = low).

It seems that KL25Z is unable to drive discrete signals, but it is just my impression.

Any idea or suggestion?

Thanks in advance,

Rino

Hello @valente_1969 ,

Thanks for your post and sorry for the late reply.

I did some work from the perspective of the KL25Z. What you said, "It seems that KL25Z is unable to drive discrete signals, but it is just my impression," is incorrect.

My understanding is that your problem likely isn't on the KL25Z side. I suggest you create a new post in the "Powertrain and Electrification Analog Drivers" forum to see if they have any good ideas.

Really hope it can help you.
