Is TJA1043T incuded short protect circuit about CAN bus?

Hi, All!

I designed circuit attached a file.

I'll short test that circuit(attaced schematics file) about CAN bus and b+(Car Battery 12volt) and GND(Car Chassis Ground)  refer to test of  ES95400-10.

Is that circuit of attached file to pass that short test?

plz, ASAP, Inform Me.

Hello Inho Jeon,

the TJA1043 can survive short circuit Vbat to CAN  to CAr bat and GND as indicated by the DC robustness rating of the device in the datasheet. I dont know the referenced test specification but, the TJA1043 device is used in such type of applications, the schematic is correctly conecting the device and the component values are ok with expection of the wake circuit. the low side switch to wakeup the device has correctly a pullup to Vbat but it is recomended to have a series R of approx 2.7k to the pin for proection of pin in case GND is lost while wake switch is closed (TR1014 from our Web site).   I also  recomend to put the EMC caps on the CAN lines between CMC and ESD protection diodes.
