For long distance I2C on CAT5, does the PCA9600 interface require 2 pairs in the CAT5 cable or 4 pairs?

I need at least one extra pair in the CAT5 cable for power, and there are only 4 pairs available.

Hello Charlie,

You can use it with 2 pairs. You check the schematics in datasheet Fig 18 and  the OM6293 evaluation board User Guide for the PCA9600 which can be helpful.
