I must evaluate the 56371 but i'm not able to find the correct version of the Suite 56300 that supports this chip.
Is it available for free a dev tool for this component?

The last version of the suite 56300 i found (here) is 4 years old

The copy of Suite56 that is available for download has indeed not been updated for
a very long time.  It has also been superceded by a whole new development tool
suite: Symphony Studio. Please be aware, however, that there is no telling how
much longer Suite56 will remain available for download.

The new suite is based on the open-source framework Eclipse.  The graphical
GDB debugger in Eclipse connects to a port of the command line GDB for the
56300 architecture.  Connection to target hardware is made through a remote
GDB server on the local machine (but it is not required to be, allowing for remote
debugging).  The built-in server is OpenOCD which allows the use of parallel
port-JTAG adapters as well as several FTDI FT2232-based USB-JTAG adapters.

One such USB adapter is built directly onto the Symphony SoundBite development
board, a new development board that was released late last year.  See more info at:

The Symphony SoundBite is a totally self-contained board with an MSRP of $150.
While it is not as flexible as the DSPAUDIOEVMMB1 and associated daughter
cards, it is much more affordable.
