In CLRC66303HNE, is the TVSS pin and VSS pin connected internally in the IC?
As displayed in the Eval board, the layer 2 is required to be a full ground plane even under the matching circuit.

The two pins are not connected internal. VSS is ground and heat sink connection, TVSS is transmitter ground and supplies the output stage of TX1, TX2. According to the development board these two pins can be connected. That is to say the system can be working refer to the same ground.
