Hi, I am building a VHF receiver on 120.55Mhz using AN606. The receiver is used to detect the carrier wave only, so I will be using the RSSI as a carrier detect. I have no use for audio out, and want to dispense with unnecessary components between the IF limiter/Quadrature detector and Audio out. Can you please recommend what to do with pins 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, and 7, 8 to achieve minimum power consumption, minimum component count, and maintain the integrity of the RSSI. Regards Matt Findlow.
The limiter is used for RSSI functioning. So, leave normal connections for pins 12,13,14.
Qdetector is not used: pin 11 NC, pin 10 C14 to GND or NC.
Audio amplifier is not used: use R11 for pins 7,8.
