Hi:
I just read the manual of thet bdml,I have some question about that. Some thing about Limits of target MCU crystal frequency. It said was19.5M,what will happen if the crystal higher than 19.5?The bdm can't download program?Or can't debug?? If I what to use crystal higher than 19.5,what can I do??If I use MC68HC908JB16JP instead of MC68HC908JB8JP,is that work?:smileyhappy:

Is the JB16 a drop in replacement for the software or does it need to be recompiled?

If you are using a TBDML with the 908JB8 and a 6MHz crystal, you are limited to debugging a device with a target crystal frequency of around 16MHz (has worked up to 19.5MHz).

If you use the 908JB16 with a 12MHz crytal, you will be able to debug devices with a target crystal freq of about 33Mhz.

Above those freqs you will loose communication with the hardware, therefore no programming or debugging.

So it's to say if I use TBDML,and I can't debuging or programing S12X ,because it's frequency is 40M...
