Hi pgo,

I can debug PA16 with USBDM.But I can't debug PT32 and PA32 with USBDM.

I hope you to try it.

Hi Wang,

Sorry but I don't have any way of testing a PT32 chip as the none of the usual places I buy chips have them and it's a bit too expensive to buy from Digikey or similar when in Australia.

The next version of USBDM will include the debug builds of the programmers and we should be able to find out what error is occurring.  I expect this in the next few weeks.

bye

Hi pgo,

Sorry,I find it's my wrong in hardware.I lost a capacitor(C1) between VDD and VSS.

If I don't use C1,USBDM can't debug and program PT32.

Now I can debug and program PT32,when C1 is located near VDD and VSS.

But I don't know why? It's just a 0.1uf capacitor.

Hi Wang,

Glad you found the problem.

I have found you can get some quite mysterious errors if you don't have sufficient power supply bypass capacitors.  I had this happen recently with a small Kinetis device.  It programmed OK but failed to verify.

The capacitors are very necessary to reduce noise on the power supply lines.
