USBDM HCS08 "USB Transfer error"

I've recenty purchased a USBDM with the firmware V4.4 installed and am trying to debug using Code Warrior V6.3.

dll files have been installed and as well as the USB drivers. According to Windows device manager the USBDM is connecting properly.

When I run the debuger the USBDM Configuration window opens and picks up that the BDM firmware is V4.4 but does not register the BDM "Device not responding" 

The error given  is "Failed to connect to target. Reason: USB Transfer error"

I've tried 2 Different PC's to elliminate a problem with the PC's USB ports.

This is my first attempt to use HCS08 back ground debug my experience is with HC08.

Am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Drewsky,

Could you try the stand-alone programmer (HCS08_FlashProgrammer) and see if that works?

Also can you post infomation about OS & version.

Note that you should make sure you are using the same version of the USBDM files as the firmware on the BDM.

I updated both the USBDM flash and dll diles to V4.6 and it's working like a dream.
