The Kinetis Software Development Kit (KSDK) is an extensive set of robust peripheral drivers, communication stacks, middleware and sample applications designed to simplify and accelerate the development in any Kinetis MCU. The addition of Processor Expert technology for software support and board configuration provides ease of use and unmatched flexibility. The Kinetis SDK is free and includes full source code under an open-source permissive license  for all hardware and software abstraction of peripheral drivers. Freescale processors have long been utilized for aerospace and defense applications. This session will describe the most commonly selected devices from the i.MX applications processor family, Qorivva portfolio and the QorIQ platform with Layerscape architecture. In this hands-on session, the low-power consumption features and advantages of Freescale KL series MCU will be introduced in-depth, and attendees will learn how to configure the MCU to enter low-power mode, and how to implement the low-power ADC function by practicing on the KL26 target board.
