Indeed, the standard Similink as a default component in MATLAB is not aware of MPC5744.

That is why NXP's Toolbox for MPC5744 needs to be added into Simulink library.

Please check this announcement to get the package: Model Based Design Toolbox For Panther (MPC574xP) Family of Processors 2.0 IS NOW AVAILABLE! 

Also, you can check this video: Video Link : 7692 starting with 2'50'', about how to download install and setup the NXP's Model-Based Design Toolbox for MPC5744P on top of Simulink.
