Overview

This reference design describes the design of a 3-phase BLDC (Brushless DC) motor drive, which supports the NXP® 56F801X Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs).

  • The speed-closed loop and torque control BLDC drive using a Hall sensor is implemented
  • The system is targeted for applications in both industrial and appliance fields (e.g. washing machines, compressors, air conditioning units, pumps or simple industrial drives required high reliability and efficiency)
