lpc1769 can be used to create a android usb interface board using AOA protocol. I wonder if it is necessary to change the boot loader in order to disconnect the usb pins from being used by the cockpit purpose.

Hello Hank Tan:

The LPC1769 in the PNEV5180B development board is targeted to be used with the PN5180 via SPI. By default it is programmed with a USB Mass Storage Device bootloader and a composite USB interface for the Cockpit tool.

To use the USB in the LPC1769 for a different purpose you need to reprogram the chip with your own application, by using the JTAG connector in the board (J200). Later on you can restore the bootloader and the original firmware. The instructions are in the PN5180 SW Quick Start Guide:

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have doubts.

Regards!
