Hello,
i am really interesting by the Ucode I2C chip for tow reasons :
- BAP feature
- Interruption on Reader read operation.
But I am planning to use a 868Mhz ceramic chip already present on my board.
And, i don't know if a matching is available for this chip to match to 50ohm line ?
I found such a matching for another rfid chip from monza in one of their application note.
Is it possible with the ucode chip ?
Hi Fabien,
I think you may refer to http://cache.nxp.com/documents/application_note/AN11180.pdf?fsrch=1&sr=4&pageNum=1 and http://cache.nxp.com/documents/application_note/AN11181.pdf?fsrch=1&sr=7&pageNum=1 for details.
Hope that helps,
Have a great day,
Kan

Hi Fabien,
Have you referred to http://www.nxp.com/documents/application_note/096917_UCODE_G2XM_G2XL_an.zip for details? Please note Ucode I2C impedance is 12.7-j199@915MHz, and this value should also be ok for 868MHz, but if you want to use 50ohm antenna , you have to use a 12.7+j199 to 50ohm Impedance transformation structure between the chip and antenna, for example , a Discrete L-Section Matching Network.
Hope that helps,
Have a great day,
Kan
