Problem with output pin DVDD, AVDD, TVDD in PN532

Hi,

I made a custom board of the PN532 based on the Adafruit PN532  board.

I'm having trouble initializing the chip. The VCC supply, which is an output from the chip, is zero and I can't find the error causing this.

I am powering the chip with 3.3 V on both VBat and PVDD.

I don't know if you guys know why this might happen, thank you very much in advance.

Hello @JonConesa

Hope you are doing well.

Please, consider that PN532 is Not Recommended for New Designs and our support may be limited; for new designs we recommend using PN7160 instead.

I will recommend you referring to PN532 Data Sheet. Section 13 shows an application diagram of PN532 that you could use as a reference. PN532 demoboard App Note includes an electrical diagram of an old demo board based on this device; you could use it as a reference.

Also, perhaps you could confirm the voltage in PVDD, VBAT, DDD, AVDD and TVDD pins by using an oscilloscope and compare with the timing for reset depicted in Section 12.3.

Additionally, I will recommend you consulting the Antenna design guide for MFRC52x, PN51x, PN53x to achieve a proper antenna design.

Regards,
Eduardo.
