PN7462: increase Tx power

Hi,

I am now doing the NFC testing of customized PCB and antenna with PN7462 used.

The firmware used is the modification of the PN7462AU_ex_phExCcid and the EEPROM was the default user_ee.bin provided together with the PN7462AUPspPackageFull-v05_22_01.

The preliminary test result showed the failure on the poller power emission test.

The testing Lab suggested to increase the Tx power, but I couldn't find settings in the firmware to do so.

It would be highly appreciated if some adjustment steps or recommendation could be provided.

Hi @jayyehtw ,

Do you enable DPC of PN7462? Is PN7462's TXLDO used in your design? Is an external RF transmitter supply used or just s single power supply used? Please kindly clarify.

Have a great day,
Kan

Hi,

The DPC is enabled and the settings are the same as the default user_ee.bin provided with the SDK.

TXLDO is enabled and there's single power supply used.

Thanks.

Hi @jayyehtw ,

The TXLDO supports current load up to 180mA, and the programmable output voltage can reach up to 4.75V, so I would recommend you using 4.75V for a try, but if you have already used this setting, you might have to try to bypass the TXLDO with an external RF transmitter supply which may support ITVDD current up to 250mA.

Hope that helps,

Have a great day,
Kan
