Hi,
Does PN7220 have DWL_REQ pin? How can we enter PN7220 to download mode?
The A7 pin (TDA_CS2 interface) will not be used in the application.
The TDA8035 interface is not utilized.
Should I apply a pull-up or pull-down resistor to the A7 pin in this case?
Thanks!
Hello sir,
This is NXP's customer support. Please take a look at the following Document of the PN7220. In section 8 Firmware update, is mentioned that depending on the use case selected the FW Update will be performed either by the MPU Host or, the Secure MCU.
It should not require to add a resistor to the A7 pin. Please also take a look at the Datasheet pin description, where is mentioned that this pin is mostly used for Contact reader selection using a pull-down resistor.
Hi,
What do you mean by download mode?
you can leave the pin TDA_CS2 free.
Thanks,
Vincent
Hi Vincent,
The PN7160 IC includes a DWL_REQ pin (D3 on VFBGA64) specifically used to enter firmware download mode. However, I could not find a similar dedicated pin for firmware updates on the PN7220.
Does the PN7220 have a specific pin used for entering firmware download mode, similar to DWL_REQ on the PN7160?
Thanks!
