Hello @EduardoZamora , thanks for your valued support!
Component Values
Antenna: Class-6 acc. AN11276, measured to be L = 2.1 uH, R=2.3 Ohm
Chosen values as adapted by VNA and yes, following PN5190 antenna design guide, Chapter 4.4:
L0 = 160 nH, C0 = 560pF, C1 = 39pF, C2 = 97pF, Rs = 3.07 Ohm
The PCB layout definitely has an effect with its parasitic impedances, as the adjusted values (especially for C0) deviate quite a lot from the calculated initial values using AN12549 ( PN5190 antenna design guide, Chapter 4.2), which were:
L0 = 160 nH, C0 = 780 pF, C1 = 52.6 pF, C2 = 80pF, Rs = 3.07 Ohm.
Since the smith diagram looks right, I'm assuming the antenna tuning is fine.
DPC Calibration
Yes I checked the DPC calibration training you mentioned, but I was mainly following the more recent Online Training . In your video a correlation check is mentioned. But current documents and NFC Cockpit version 8.0.0 do not seem to document or support such a check. But this should not be a problem since L0 = 160 nH < 0.5*L_antenna = 0.5 * 2.1 uH.
My issue is not with DPC calibration itself, this is a future step. I'm confused as to why the ITVDD is reported to be much lower than the set target current while DPC is disabled and VDDPA is set to the 5.7V. See NFC Cockpit screenshot.
Is there a way to measure ITVDD directly on the PNEV5190 eval board?
