PN5180 TX_UNDERSHOOT_CONFIG on AWC

Hi

On some EMV Level 1 tests, in order to pass Type A waveform test, we need to change the TX_UNDERSHOOT_CONFIG register on different gears. Mostly turn TX_UNDERSHOOT_PROT_ENABLE off on high gears.
Currently we do this via the reader FW, but that is slow, cumbersome and not optimal.

Could it be possible to add functionality to the AWC, that already changes parameters in relation to the DPC gear, in the FW of the PN5180.
Alternatively, is it possible to get an interrupt from the reader, every time there is a gear change, so we can change that parameter in a more optimal way.

Thank you
Best regards
Nikola

Hi Nikola,

the DPC is a very fast control loop, which does not allow any SPI communication with the host MCU in between. The only available parameters as part of the AWC are the ones, which are documented (TAU_MOD_FALLING, TAU_MOD_FALLING, RESIDUAL_CARRIER).

Actually the AWC of the PN5190 is much more advanced...
