OM27160/PN7160 not detecting tag

I have a OM27160: Development Kit for PN7160 Plug’n Play NFC Controller that I have interfaced to our board (Atmel SAM4S based) using SPI and I have ported the  library and driver from SW6705\NXP-NCI2.0_MCUXpresso_examples\NXP-NCI2.0_LPC55S6x_examples.

After initialisation it gets stuck in "WAITING FOR DEVICE DISCOVERY" and doesn't detect the supplied NTAG.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you, I have checked the connection and all looks ok. We only have a 3.3V available so both VDD(PAD) and VBAT/VDD(UP) are at 3.3V, I have set:

#define NXP_TVDD_CONF 1 // 1=3.3V, 2=4.75V

in Nfc_settings.h to reflect this.

SPI comms look good.

Hi Douglas:

I would suggest you check the hardware connection first. Please refer to AN13288.  and check below signals connected correctly with your custom board.
