Hi @Tomas_Parizek

@Fabian_R

So according to the documentation of NTAG5 the reading range is 60cm so wanted to know how this reading range vary according to antenna design and size of antenna and another point when we tested with NTAG5 link,switch,boost with nfc enabled phone  the reading range is normally 5-6cm so how in the datasheet its written 60cm

Hello sir,

Even though the antenna of the NTAG 5 can be designed to extend the reading distance the most important part is the Antenna of the Reader. The ISO15693 protocol does allow a reading distance of up to 1.5 meters, but it is also directly linked to the Reader antenna capabilities. The NTAG 5 link  antenna documentation is available at the following link: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN12380.pdf

I have to add that, we also have an NFC Antenna tool that will help you get started with the design. Unfortunately, we don't have a specific guide for achieving a larger distance, the calculation has to be done based on the AN12380.

Best Regards,
Fabian
