If we want to use NT3H2111 for NFC tag application that don’t require I2C and MCU, and we don’t have DC power supply on the tag. Please send me application circuit for this application using NT3H2111

Hello,

I would recommend to please take a look at chapter 8.6 of datasheet, there you will find helpful recommendations for energy harvesting: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/NT3H2111_2211.pdf

Hope this helps!

BR,

Ivan.

If we don't need the I2C function and event detect signal for NFC tag application. Can we just connect LA and LB to coil and connect VCC(Pin6) to VOUT(Pin 7). All other pin leave opened. Do we need to add a capacitor to VCC for this application? Besides, datasheet recommended that for energy harvesting a Class 5 antenna is required. What will be the effect if we only have a coil antenna with 9mm diameter

Hello,

You are correct, A capacitor between 150 nF to 220 nF maximum shall be connected between VOUT and GND. We have not tested the behavior on antenna coils for which we recommend to please refer to our antenna design guide: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11276.zip

Hope this helps!

Ivan.
