Hi there,
We're working on a product using the NT3H2111 - so far we have used it with success writing NDEF messages via I²C into the EEPROM and then reading them back from an Android phone, and vice-versa.
Now we are looking to implement something more advanced, and I have come across NXP's "NFC Reader Library", which claims to support SNEP (and other features).
The NT3H2111 is not listed as supported by this library, is there any other similar library which could create a SNEP target with an NT3H2111? The chip has "passthrough" mode, is there a library which can use this in a standard way which would not necessarily require a custom Android application?

Hi Sean,
NFC reader library is for NFC readers like CLRC663 plus, so it is not suitable for NT3H2111, and as I know, SDK has a library for this part , please refer to the following for details.
and we also have app notes on that topic, please kindly refer to https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11579.pdf and https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/engineering-bulletin/TN00042.pdf for details.
Please also note to work with this part in passthrough mode, an custom Android application is needed.
Hope that helps,
Have a great day,
Kan

Hi,
At this point of time I am not allowed to disclose a lot. But in NFC Fourm there are activities ongoing to develope something similar like SNEP (used in peer to peer mode only) for Reader/writer <-> Tag Types. This new protocol will then be supported by NT3H2111. Maybe you can have a look on NFC Forum press Releases to see when this new protocol is alife :-)
Kind regards,
Erich
