Inquiry About Asymmetric and Symmetric Protection in NXP NTAG 424 DNA and MIFARE DESFire EV3

Could you please provide information on whether these products support asymmetric and symmetric encryption protection? Specifically, I am interested in understanding the following:

1. What types of encryption (symmetric/asymmetric) are supported by the NTAG 424 DNA and DESFire EV3? we prefer asymmetric encryption to do so for mutual authentication
2. Are there specific use cases or scenarios where one type of encryption is preferred over the other for these products?
3. Any additional security features related to encryption that I should be aware of?

Hello sir,

This is Fabian from customer support.

Unfortunately, none of our Tags, nor MIFARE DESFire EV3 support asymmetric encryption for application usage. We do have an new MIFARE card that supports both encryption, is called MIFARE DUOX.

But, this is in an introduction stage and, the support is very limited.

My apologies but, at this moment I can only provide support for symmetric devices. Please let me know if I can help with anything from our portfolio.
