Hi All,
I am doing some research about NFC tag.
Let me know if ICODE series can be read-only without password?
I just read some old documentation (attached file) there is NXPTICODET application note can set read-only, but in the newest documentation there is no NXPTICODET mentioned. CMIIW, the newest one can set read-only with 32-bit password, and i think it doesn't safe enough, isn't it?
I wondering if there is still NXPTICODET in ICODE series?
Please help
Thank you.
Hope you are doing great, I am not sure about what specific product are you asking this question, as you may know the ICODE family has different devices, but for example in Slix you have the lock mechanism for each user memory block (write protection), I am not sure why the document you mention is not available anymore this decisions are done based on the product evolution and maybe this information is already in the DS or AN and make this old one not very helpful anymore.
a 32 bit password is not the best for secured applications we have the ICODE DNA with AES authentication.
please select the devices that fit your security needs.
Have a great day!
