Hello Sir,

I am testing the NFC distance emulating card tag ,with the evualuation board (PN5180 + LCP-Link2)

To simulate the card, i have use the example(NfcrdlibEx8_HCE_T4T) from NXP web.

I only can get a distance about 1cm, i want to increase it using the ALM

To increase this i have modified the value of some register from "phhalHw_Pn5180.h" but without no results.

There is any example or recomendation get more distance?

I need help, i am lost in this topic.

BR!

Hello,

Active Load Modulation is mainly meant to be used for smaller PICC antennas in card operation to overcome the minimum antenna size limitation to achieve standard conformance with Passive Load Modulation (PLM).

A greater range might be accomplished with a better antenna design mainly on the reader's side. The performance on mobile phones varies due to many factors such as metal enclosures and different antenna designs. It would be helpful to refer to PN5180's antenna design guide: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN11740.pdf

Regards,

Ivan.
