Trying to get EMVCo level L1 testing and having some problems with load modulation.

Will the serial resonant antenna help with this?

What would be an advantage of using serial versus parallel in NFC environment?

Thanks Kan for your comment.

My question is rather about the basic transmitting antenna configuration as in picture attached:

I would like to hear about an experience with series (first picture) NFC transmitting antenna connection.

Advantages any of the above configurations in relation to power transfer, coupling influences and load modulation.

Cheers,

Slavek

Hi Slavek,

Antenna can be taken as serial resonant or parallel resonant circuit. Do you mean the matching way? We call symmetric or asymmetric matching, which can be referred to the design guide on the following link: (symmetric matching can have better Rx sensitivity, but it could cause too high field strength @ 0-1cm) http://www.nxp.com/documents/application_note/AN11740.pdf?fasp=1&WT_TYPE=Application%20Notes&WT_VEND...

Wish it helps.

Have a great day,
Kan Li
