I have reviewed the datasheet and the application notes for the NTP5332. When the device is configured to use the GPIO pins, it can support 2kΩ weak pull-up resistors. When the device is configured as an I2C Master all the documentation recommends the user add external pull-up resistors to the SDA/SCL lines. Why is that?
Can anyone point me in the direction of a document that describes how to enable internal weak pull-up resistors on the SDA/SCL lines?
Hello,

For the information please refer to the user manual https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/UM10204.pdf .

Depends on the datasheet, "weak pull-up resistors" is only for GPIO, not for I2C.
Hope it help you. Have a nice day.

So you are saying that the user cannot enable internal pull-up resistors on the SDA and SCL lines? The board must have external pull-up resistors?
