They are absolutely the same physically – they have the same mask set. But the difference is related to set of defined peripheral (influences tests procedures) – you are not allowed to use undefined memories, peripherals or features.
So, in the case of the same mask set and in the case of these two devices it is enough for you to look at the table Table 1-1. MC9S12ZVC-Family devices.
S912ZVC = Standard (10Bit ADC, no DAC, no Comparator)
S912ZVCA= Enhanced analog(12Bit ADC, with DAC & Comparator

In this case, however, you want to use device with extended features so just check ADC setup.
