SPI No SIN signal from Slave

I am trying to communicate a S32K144 EVB MCU with a FRAM device (Fujitsu MB85RS2MTY) through SPI. The MCU (Master) sends an op-code of 0x9F to check the Device ID of the FRAM and sends 32 invalid bits to keep the clock going for the Slave to respond and send the device ID data. The SOUT, SCLK and PCS seem to work but only the SIN does not work, the FRAM does not send any data. All what is visible is a voltage jump tp around 200mV. I've checked the connections and the datasheet of the FRAM device and everything seems to be done correctly. I am out of ideas in what is missing for the communication to work so I am reaching out to users in this community and NXP team to help me solve this issue. I've attached a screenshot of my Simulink model and a photo of the osciloscope screen (Yellow - SCLK, Green - PCS, Magenta - SOUT, Blue - SIN)
