Hi,

I am using S32k3 mbdt in Simulink and wanted to detect bus error for CAN.

What I want to learn more about is the state and status, which I have a hard time finding the exact documentation on these output parameter.

First, I went through documentation on the block in Mathwork. However, the html web page does not expand further when I click on it. So not enough information to answer my questions.

I have tried reading S32K3XXRM: S32K3xx Reference Manual to find detail about error state, but couldn't find descriptions that describes the state value that I'm observing.

Please help finding the document information about this block, thanks!

Hi,

from HW point of view, for error detection/reporting, check chapters 73.6.2.8 Error Counter (ECR) and 73.6.2.9 Error and Status 1 (ESR1) of the S32K3xx Reference Manual.

I do see that the manual have the section that describe ECR and ESR1. However, how am I sure that it is correlate with the blocks that I'm using in the NXP library. Since the output state can go 0, 1, or 2 base on observation, which doesn't match the section I'm looking at in the reference manual.

Another question I would like to ask is how to correlate each API function of in NXP library mbdt to the reference manual?

Thanks

Dear @PetrS ,

I also have the same question on how to correlate each API function of in NXP library mbdt to the reference manual

The output status of the NXP block can go 0, 1 or 2, but this also does not match the status message I looked at in the reference manual.

Could you help me, please ?

Thanks
