Hi NXP Team,
I have a question about debug, if I create a project through MBDtools, than download to the MCU. But some issue happened, and the issue can't be found by MATLAB simulink, is there have a debug tool like IDE's step debugger can use?
if I use IAR as a compiler in MATLAB simulink, can I use IAR to do this?
Thanks.
Hello leo.wu@avnet.com,
After the project is generated, you can import it into IAR IDE, but you'll have to do this manually (import the files, select the linker file provided by our toolbox [.icf file], same for the startup file, etc.). But there is another option for debugging - S32 Design Studio (for ARM / Power, depending on what platform you are using). For our latest toolboxes we provide a special file you can use with S32 Design Studio to import everything automatically - so if you are using S32K or MPC toolbox, we recommend you go on this path.
Kind regards,
Razvan.
You can check this thread for details on how to import the code generated by our toolbox into S32 Design Studio IDE.
Kind regards,
Razvan.
