What is the best way to petition for new features (or more importantly keep old ones) and have it be read and considered by the people setting the roadmap and direction for MQX?
Certainly I can do what I am doing now; toss a gripe up on the message board, and the MQX developers read it. They provide great support, but is there a more formal process? How can we have the community chime in and have them tell us why they think is important and pass this on to the directors?
As a user of MQX for 14 years I am extremely disappointed to discover things like: "we're dropping support for Runtime EDS" because we don't think it's useful (most useful thing in the world), or "we are no longer supporting the 'sockio:' driver" (second most useful thing in the world). Or asking support for implementation of AutoIP/mDNS, etc. How about a process where your end customers can chime in and get their perspective?
Thanks,
PMT

Hi pmt,
I absolutely agree! We very much need the input of the community of power users such as yourself to help drive our roadmaps and features. Last year I became the product manager for Freescale MQX and part of my job has been to ensure we are receiving and utilizing feedback. We have been thinking about the following mechanisms.
I will bring up your feedback on EDS and sockio to our development team.
Also, I am happy to let you know that we are planning to release mDNS in a future release (details to come).
Thanks,
Mac
Hi PMT
I think you can submit a service request , and the technical support team will evaluate it and submit it to the internal Jira system as a new feature request.
Please refer to the following document for details

Have a great day,

Hi Daniel,
I will do this, but really what I'm after is Freescale MQX interested in perhaps gathering collective feedback from the user community on a proposed feature X or feature Y? Many times they will bring a new and different perspective as they are the ones using the tools for end user applications.
