Lots of documentation MQX and PE

I have compiled the pe_demo_twrk60n512 sample and want to add communications using a SPI port. I have found lots of MQX and PE documentation. But I am not sure of where to start. What is the proper documentation for a PE beginner to use? I know I need to use the PE project in bsp_twrk60n512_pe. But past that I need a good tutorial.
