Is I2S for TWR-VF65GS10 on MQX 4.0.1 supported?

Hi,

I would like to use MQX with TWR-VF65GS10 (on A5 core), TWR-AUDIO-SGTL and DS-5 but the MQX RTOS 4.01 Release notes (page 10) list I2S/SAI as not being supported for TWRVF65GS10_A5 and TWRVF65GS10_M4.

Note however, there is an example project for TWR-VF65GS10 and I2S for DS5 included with MQX 4.01-  i2s_demo_twrvf65gs10_a5. 

Is I2S actually supported for TWR-VF65GS10 on MQX 4.0.1?

If there are limitations for I2S on MQX 4.0.1 with TWR-VF65GS10 what are they and is there any way to overcome them?

The driver is there, but it is not supported by MQX 4.0.1 and MQX 4.0.2 releases, in terms it is not tested and it is not made sure that demo projects work out of the box for the Vybrid boards. In MQX 4.0.2, the i2s_demo project will be removed for Vybrid.

The plan, as far as I am aware, is to provide i2s driver and demo projects for Vybrid boards in next release (after MQX 4.0.2).

Roughly when is MQX 4.0.2 due and very roughly when could i expect the subsequent MQX release supporting I2S for Vybrid.

Hi Tom, roughly MQX 4.0.2 in August, next MQX release with I2S for Vybrid by the end of the year.
