Within S32DS you can find several examples that are not based on SDK.

Hi,

pin is configured using SIU.MSCRn register. See RM for more info and IO signal table attached to the RM.
to have pin working as GPIO keep SIU.MSCRn[SSS] cleared and for
- output set SIU.MSCRn[OBE] and control output level using SIU.GPDOn
- input set SIU.MSCRn[IBE] and read input level from SIU.GPDIn
