Under what scenarios will the SSD_ERR and RECEIVE_ERR will be set in Communication Status register (Register 23) of TJA1100 , ? It would be of great help if this could be explained in detail.
This basically comes from IEEE 802.3 specifications. Please take a look at receive state diagrams in section 96.3.4.1. SSD_ERR is set if the state machine gets to state "BAD SSD" (figure 96-10a). RECEIVE_ERR is set in case of state "RX ERROR" (figure 96-10b).
