S32R274RRUEVB startup

Hi,

I just got my S32R274RRUEVB board from NXP.

There are 3 power supply terminals on this board, do I have to connect them all to power up this daughter board alone as I don't have the motherboard? they are:

5V_DC_R

3.3V_DC_R

1.25V_DC_R

From the schematic, it looks like 1.25V can be internally supplied thru 5V_DC_R, what about the 3.3V_SR_LDO? can I just supply a single 5V supply externally to power up the board to do some simple test?

Is there any user manual to start with?

Thanks!

Hi,

It is possible to use the daughter cards without the motherboard to run code on the microcontroller.

Power to the daughter cards must be supplied through the terminal power connector ‘J1 – PWR_IN’. It

is required to connect all three voltages (1.25V, 3.3V and 5V) and ground.

Jumpers positions must be moved to allow the J1 to supply the EVB.

J3 must move to position 1-2   (5V_DC_R)

J2 must move to position 1-2   (1.25V_DC_R)

J7 must move to position 1-2   (5V_DC_R)

J5 must move to position 1-2   (3.3V_DC_R)

J4 must move to position 1-2   (5V_DC_R)

Hi Petr,

Thanks for your reply and comments.

For my test bench, I have 5V and 3.3V regulated DC supply only, I noticed

there is a on board SMPS FET on the S32R274RRUEVB schematic that supplies

1.25V core supply for the micro, my question is if I can use this on board

SMPS and negate the 1.25V_DC_R from the J1-PWR_IN connector. if yes, how

should I configure the jumpers accordingly.

Thanks!
